This module provides students with a conceptual collaboration between culture and museology; analysis of a wide range of museum operations and cultural tourism attractions; the museum’s curation, preservation, public programming and education; visitors’ behaviour especially motivation; contemporary approaches to cultural tourism development and management; and cultural tourism marketing; the roles of interpretation programs employed in major cultural tourism sites; principles and models of interpretation; frameworks and approaches to plan and design interpretation programs for visitors; communication modes.

Travel fare structuring is part of the foundation mastery learning of travel and tourism, which is the first of the IATA/UFTTA qualification levels. The module provides an overview and an understanding of the travel and tourism industry, the practicalities of the travel professional’s role in this industry, the importance of exceeding customer’s expectation, and an excellent foundation of air fare calculations and ticking. Hence, an essential knowledge and skills provided for those aspiring to enter the industry as well as travel professionals. This gives the participants a strong competitive edge to start a successful career in the tourism industry.
