This course allows the student to be conversant with the principles and the many functions incorporated into the IATA fares and ticketing construction process. IATA fares and ticketing is one of the modules in the course customizes for the students to be able to calculate and to correctly quote basic fares with respect to the journeys and their corresponding classes of service. This forms the base of the global distribution systems (GDS) be it air travel, accommodation, car hire and many others, where electronic ticketing is concern. This will also enable the student to identify, interpret and to make correct computer entries.

Tourism takes place at a destination and that means destinations are a basic unit of analysis for tourism planning systems. Eco-Tourism and Destination management is complex and needs comprehensive and systematic approaches to planning. Travellers have a variety of available Eco destinations and as such destination marketing organizations are competing in a highly competitive marketplace. This course looks at the macro and micro aspects of Eco-Tourism and destination management, including the scope of ecotourism experiences available, analysis of the structure of interpretive ecotourism, factors of the environment and their significance to ecotourism, sustainability principles among others.
