
The aim/objective of this module is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory, operational, and transport services aspects, with a specific focus on transport services. By the end of the module, students should be able to understand the legal and regulatory requirements for transport industry, and have a thorough understanding of the functions transport, including the management of passengers, scheduling time, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Additionally, students may be introduced to key concepts such as transport management, professional transport services, and mode of transport, which are critical for effective transport and service delivery. Ultimately, the objective of the module is to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage and navigate the complex world of local and international transport services delivery.
Learning Outcomes/Objectives: |
1. 1. Understanding of global transport services: Students should understand the fundamentals of transport services, including the different types of transport means, policies, parking, and tracking system. They should also be able to explain the role of transport service management in facilitating both local and international travelers.
2. Knowledge of transporting and delivering passengers: Students should be familiar with the transport policies and procedures involved in transporting delivering of passengers, including the documentation requirements, compliance issues, and cross boarder procedures. They should also understand the role of transport managers and service providers in transport process.
3. Understanding of transport planning: Students should have a good understanding of the functions and operations of logistics, including information transformations, transport management and service delivery. They should also be familiar with the different types of transports and their unique characteristics. 4. 4. Knowledge of transport and services delivery: Students should understand the principles of transport services, including transportation planning, parking management, and distribution strategies. They should also be familiar with the different modes of transportation, including air, sea, and land transport. |
